Lust vs Love

Lust Vs Love

The word lust is defined as being vigorously passionate, having a craving, or appetite about someone or something. On the other hand love is defined as being affectionate and caring towards someone or something. It is a strong positive emotion of regard and affection. Note the word "positive emotion". It means if there is positive emotion, there will be a negative emotion.
It's amazing to know that the universe is controlled by this strong force called LOVE.  Even the Bible described God as being love in 1 John 4:8. But inspite of this force controlling the universe we see another force trying to oppose it, the force of LUST. In our society today, it's sad to say that majority of our relationship is being built on lust. The simple truth is that what we called "I love you" is now "I lust you".
Do you know that many individuals are under the control of this force called lust, and it doesn't only have influence in his/her relationship but in everything they do. What do you think is the cause of corruption, abortion, greed, rape, broken homes, robbery, murder and many other evil things in the society? The simple answer is LUST.
How do you know you are in love? There are 15 things to let you know if you're in LOVE and not in LUST.
  1. Love never gives up. There are high rates of divorce in the society because most marriage are built on lust. True love never gives up.
  2. Love cares more for others than for self.
